About Us
Classy Critters, Inc. is a trusted and compassionate dog grooming salon located in the heart of Lake County, Illinois, proudly serving pet families for over 20 years. Owned and operated by Kathy, a highly experienced and certified professional dog groomer, Classy Critters specializes in gentle grooming for dogs of all breeds, including senior dogs, special needs pets, and behaviorally challenged dogs.
Kathy is a proud member of C.E.R.T. and holds certifications in animal emergency disaster response, dog behavior and training, pet first aid, and CPR. Her deep knowledge and hands-on experience allow her to identify potential health concerns such as suspicious lumps, skin conditions, and other issues that may require veterinary attention. Her personal golden retriever, Buddy, is certified in fire and rescue and serves as a therapy dog, reflecting the heart and mission behind Classy Critters.
At Classy Critters, we believe that "our pets are family." Kathy’s mission has always been to ensure every dog feels safe, loved, and understood in a calm, caring environment. Whether it’s a routine grooming or a special care session, Kathy works closely with pet owners to meet each dog’s unique needs—earning trust one tail wag at a time.
